This is an article taken from Kafka newsletter (January 2000), the one which perfectly demonstrates you what "stupidity" and "absurdity" really are. Furthermore, the lack of correct information. Read on, my precious reader, and aware of mass media's paranoia.

Ok, the time has come to comment this... erh, let's say "delirium". First of all, I was rather surprised when Kafka crew "enlightened" me regarding the subject of what kind of a slogan belongs to black metal movement. Oh yes, it's "war against society". However... isn't is punk rock you're confusing us with? Secondly, let me dare to assert that lyrics written by those involved in black metal, ...well, really deal with both "sadistic violence" and "hate against humanity and christianity", BUT aren't others deliver unbelievably astounding poetry? Anyway, someone stop me. Why should I defend black metal...? Because some shithead tries to become something more than just a homo cunt, gaining fame through discussions on the subjects dealing with black metal? Have anyone of you ever heard of ACTIVE MINDS? I guess not. And hope, never will. Let's better laugh upon that "MORBID ANGEL = a fascist band" assertion, ok?

"Aside from the lyrical content the stage act is very important for many Black Metal bands: dressing up and strong symbolism create a demonic, aggressive and nihilistic appearance. There are also bands who practise this aggressive, nihilistic attitude in daily life and for example mix it with fascist politics. As a result of this a new musical area has emerged from which fascists can recruit followers for their party politics.

On several occasions youths have vandalised graves in the Netherlands as an expression of their satanic belief. On May 25, 1999 a trial was held in Arnhem concerning a group of youths who had vandalised several graves in the nearby area in 1997 and who had also attempted to set fire to a christian chapel. The group had thrown in windows of a church on several occassions as well. During the trial one of the main perpetrators said he regretted his deeds but that the violation of holy ground fits into his satanic belief".

Let me ask what the hell does this "satanic great pretender" have to do with black metal? You see, I'm just wondering, since I feel myself somehow astonished.

"On August 19, 1993 Kristian Vikernes is arrested in Norway on suspicion for murder of a left wing metal fan and for arson in several churches. During the trial he says that he is a convinced pagan (heathen) and national socialist. The court finds him guilty of murder of the metal fan and of three cases of arson. Kristian Vikernes is convicted to 21 years in prison for this. In prison he changes his name to Varg. Varg means wolf.

He plays an important role in the Black Metal scene because of his one-man band BURZUM. Vikernes makes music with a computer in prison. BURZUM is a publicly accepted Black Metal band that is sold openly in all kinds of record shops, despite the obscure CD covers that are decorated with swastikas. Varg Vikernes is one of the first Black Metal types to connect Paganism with National Socialist ideology. He sees similarities in the struggle against the christian and jewish religion and the ideology of national socialism.

According to Vikernes, he fights as a pagan against jews and christians who have suppressed paganism in Europe. As a national socialist he fights against the "world domination of the Jews". His comment on the holocaust shows his position clearly: "The only thing I regret about the holocaust is that it is a lie". In Norway Varg Vikernes has become the leader of the Heathen Front. This front combines national socialism with paganism and has subdivisions in several countries, among which the Netherlands and Flanders."

Do you REALLY think I have to comment the above-stated? "BURZUM albums decorated with swastikas", oh yeah. Ok, let's make the CDs' sale out of law. Isn't it a serious violation of democracy, the same democracy you, subhumans, adhere to??

"The Nederlands Heidens Front is an extremely obscure little club, that is only active on the internet at the moment. Remarkably they've had a website for a long time at the domain of White Pride World Wide. There they offered stickers saying "We've had more than enough of judeo-christian 'charity' ['love for thy neighbour'] (and also of Islam)" among other things. The Vlaams Heidens Front which was founded in 1997 is more active. This front has its own journal Kvasir and spreads utterly nazistic propaganda. For example the front page of their website featured the fourteen words which are widely used in nazi circles: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children".

Vikernes isn't the only one from the Black Metal scene with a dead man on this conscience. On April 29, 1993 Jarl Flagg Nidhoegg (pseudonym of Hendrik Möbus) together with three others murdered a fellow student. In his eyes this boy was too left wing and ridiculed his Black Metal band ABSURD. Therefore he was "sacrificed". Five days after the murder Nidhoegg was arrested. He was a minor at the time of the murder and therefore he was convicted in 1994 to only 8 years in prison, of which he served 5 years. Later Nidhoegg comments on the violent murder in several interviews. He is persistant in stating that five years in prison was worth it for him: he calls seeing the fear in someone's eyes at the moment of the murder a great experience. Nidhoegg is still drummer of the German Black Metal band ABSURD. ABSURD has  become an almost mythical band in the Black Metal scene. Absurd combines, just like BURZUM, paganism with national socialism. The band regard the rejection of judaism and christianity as the rejection of "sheep mentality", i.e. blindly following a belief. ABSURD wants people to become strong in order to take the course towards a totalitarian power. ABSURD state that national socialism in connection with satanism and paganism is the ultimate road to taking totalitarian power. ABSURD call for a boycott of products of which one knows that they are manufactured by Jews and Nidhoegg gives the Hitler salute during concerts. Nidhoegg together with his brother Ronald are the leaders of the Deutsche Heidnische Front, the German division of Varg Vikernes' Heathen Front. This German division also strives for a racially pure Great-Germany, that is based of the law of the strong.

All these activists attracted quite some attention, among others from the German authorities. In October 1999 raids took place at fourty places in Germany, during which large amounts of neo-nazi material were found. In the meanwhile Nidhoegg has gone into hiding and has announced that he is going to live in exile"."

This time, definitely no comments. Truly an absurd...

"The record label of ABSURD is called Darker Than Black Records. This label releases albums by bands that are all from the pagan / nationalsocialist scene, such as for example KRISTALLNACHT from France and THOR'S HAMMER from Poland. These bands rage fiercely against Jews and immigrants. KRISTALLNACHT for example state in an interview that they are supporters of an Aryan war  against Jews, communists, homosexuals, foreigners and all whom they think do not belong in France. The band members claim to be sympathisers of Nietzsche's Übermensch theory."

Wow, Kafka crew seem to be more than just very well informed, since I have never heard KRISTALLNACHT saying anything like stated above.

"The Dutch distributors of Darker Than Black Records in the Netherlands are Daimonion from Schiedam and Berzerker Records from Oegstgeest. Jasper Velzel's Berzerker Records take responsibility for the most extremist CDs of Darker Than Black Records. Darker Than Black Records in their turn are the distributor of Berzerker Records, but also of the fascist American label Dungeons of Darkness. This label recently released a compilation CD of national socialist Black Metal bands. The first 88 copies came with a little bag filled with sand from Auschwitz.

Back to the Netherlands. Berzerker Records from Oegstgeest has been active lately in the extreme right music scene. The first CD that Berzerker Records released was a CD by the Polish Black Metal band LORD OF EVIL. This band also mixed paganism with national socialism. They describe their music themselves as "Aryan War Black Metal, only for whites". LORD OF EVIL have changed their name in the meantime to fit their ideology: they are now  called "White Aryan Resistance, Heil Hitler" (WAR 88).

The second CD that has been released by Berzerker Records (which was decorated with runes) is by the one-man band WELTER from The Hague. Welter (a.k.a. Jos Tucker) describes Adolf Hilter in an interview as "A very powerful and strong character. Also a master in giving speeches, also thanks to Goebles". According to Tucker the runes on the CD stem from ancient Scandinavia and are no reference to modern day fascism. On several other occassions Tucker also distances himself strongly from extreme right tendencies within the Black Metal world. The release of his CD on the combined Berzerker / Darker Than Black label is therefore a bit of a surprise. Especially among radical groups within Black Metal, who are causing him some trouble now. The third CD that Berzerker Records was going to release was by the Russian band ROD. It says on a Berzerker Records flyer that ROD play "Totalit-aryan Heathen Metal" and that they support national socialist ideology. However in an article in a extremist Black Metal magazine, ROD have been accused of cooperating with Jewish organisations. Moreover two "yellow narrow-minded Khazakhs" play in the band. According to the author of this article ROD supposedly is not a national socialist band but a cheap commercial band that has nothing to do with national socialism. It is unclear whether this has been to the reason for Berzerker Records not to release the CD. Instead of ROD Berzerker will release a CD by HERETIC. HERETIC is a Dutch Black Metal band from around Best. The singer of the band is Thomas van Bragt, who also publishes a perverse satanic zine called "Satanic Perversion 'zine". This magazine is filled with porno pictures, interviews with fascist bands and sick jokes. One of the victims of these jokes has been Jos Tucker / WELTER. A photo of him has been glued onto the people in a concentration camp. The caption reads "In a series of WELTER, the jewish punk loser". The magazine also lists eight internet addresses where holocaust denial information can be found. The fourth CD that Berzerker Records is going to release is a CD by a Dutch Black Metal band called HOLOCAUST. In an interview with this band the members claim to be national socialists and to support heathendom. They call themselves "trendcrushing NS War Metal". In the same magazine they claim to have contacted someone who used to fight with the Waffen SS and has been member of the Hitler Youth. This referres most likely to Kees van Rijn (see Viking Youth Netherlands). HOLOCAUST have already released a cassette titled "Revival Of The Holocaust". This cassette is distributed by Berzerker Records. Aside from a record label Berzerker Records is also a mailorder company that have music from several fascist bands for sale. An example of this is the CD by Dutch band LANDSTORM. LANDSTORM is formed around Ed Polman and Dave Blom, who both have a long history in CP'86, ANS and NVU [Dutch extreme right parties and groups]. LANDSTORM is not Black Metal, but a pure nazi skin band. This also holds for Iron Youth from Greece who are also distributed by Berzerker."

"Perverse satanic zine", eh? How do you like it? These lines heavily remind me of those times when Russia endured a so-called "communistic genocide" - when few books saw the light, the ones telling that f.ex. KISS' Gene Simmons is an antichrist (sure! How could one think that there's at least one single person who doubt it...?), PINK FLOYD made suiciders out of fish (!), and so on and so forth. As to Berzerker Records, well, they aren't even national-socialists, more likely a flock of 'masks', if you get what I mean. WELTER - a nazi band? Don't make me laugh. Tucker should at least grow up. I do not perform discussions with children. Never. ROD? Truly a fake. However, it doesn't have anything to do with their nationality or anything like that. The problem is the same as Tucker's, you see.

"This article about the contacts between the Black Metal scene and fascists groups is far from complete. It is a subculture that spreads out over the whole world. There are many different organisations, bands, zines that focus specificly on Black Metal and the nazi groups that are part of it. We want to show you just a tip of the iceberg with this article. He who thinks these are just tasteless stage acts is wrong. Black Metal is a million dollar industry and several bands occassionally penetrate into the bins of regular record shops. From within the Black Metal scene there are several contacts to serious extreme right movements and organisations. Music is used as a tool to spread political propaganda. How many fans respond to the extreme right messages is difficult to estimate. It wouldn't be the first time that extreme right is able to reach the minds of young people through a subculture. The aforementioned trends show that there are possibilities in the Netherlands as well".

A million dollar culture? Perhaps. But don't make the ones who read your crap think that black metal is only a "tool", an artistic propaganda. These words smell with bullshit - or, being more polite, the narrow-mindedness.
