Greetings! If I'm not mistaken, "Eos" was the CD you made your debut with. Please, grant us the vision of what it's all about… And one more thing , what made you to choose such a title, "Eos"? As far as I know, "Aurora" and "Eos" mean the same, so it seems to be kinda weird!

- You're right; “Aurora” and “Eos” are the same name for the Goddess of Morningred – ‘Aurora’ in the Roman Mythology and ‘Eos’ in the Greek Mythology... There's no concept on “Eos”, that's why we couldn't figure out a title that fitted better than «Eos». We didn't aim after a certain genre or style, we just played what came to our mind - of course we had the intention of making some cool, melodic metal. And  what name would fit better than «Eos»...

AURORA's second effort, the "Sadiam" MCD, has to be already released now! Why is it an MCD only? Did you exhaust your composer's capabilities or "Sadiam" simply is a prelude to the second full-length output of yours?

- The tracks on “Sadiam” was the first material we produced after «Eos» and yes you can see it as a prelude to our upcoming full-length. When we signed the contract for “Sadiam” with Serious Entertainment, it was done as a double-deal including a full-length release.

What does "Sadiam's" artwork symbolize? By the way, it looks more like a photo, however a very strange one!

- The cover artwork for “Sadiam” is a painting made by our bass-player Carsten Terp. It's 2 x 2 meters and have a hole in the middle, where there are some flowers and some tree-stuff coming out. He's been painting on it since 1994 and he still does - so sometimes, when he need to express his feelings (and not picks up the bass...) he picks up the paintbrush and works on the “Sadiam” picture...  We chose  that picture because it's very sombre and sad. There's no direct parallel to draw between the music and the picture. Finally our lead-guitarist Thomas Broberg, who's an educated graphic artist made the layout.

"Eos" was promoted as 'transcendental metal'; is it your label's slogan or an invention of yours? And why transcendental'? In order to confuse the listener!? By the way, most of the "Eos" reviews I've read defined it as 'Swedish death metal', however I can't understand why, because (at least, in my personal opinion) BM elements seem to prevail in the stuff you create...

- In fact it was Claus Frolund, our vocalist, made up that genre. Well, it's actually to prevent the listener of being confused when listening to our music - All in all it's up to the listener to determine what our music is to them - to us it could be ‘trancendental metal’ - but you could also call it groovy melodic metal... It's certainly not Swedish Metal, because we live in Denmark - for some it might sound like Swedish Metal.

Serious Entertainment looks like an extremely 'patriotic' label ; at least, they sign mostly Danish bands! Therefore, I guess they also should be good in promotion when it comes to their countrymates, like MERCENARY, PANZERCHRIST, ILLDISPOSED and AURORA!

- In the beginning SE only had Danish bands, but now there're bands as WITHOUT GRIEF from Sweden, PYREXIA from the US and JULIA LAUGHS NO MORE from Greece. Actually ILLDISPOSED has left SE for the German label Invasion. When it comes to promotion, we don't feel that the priority is about the nationality, but more about the music. Meant in that way that Jacob and SE only invests in big promotion, if he can see the money coming back in - but again, SE also only signs a band if there's a potential in it...

Now let's move to more abstract themes. It is said that all people may be divided only into creators and consumers, and there's no other kind of homo sapiens ever existed... Whom do you consider yourself? Do you agree with the opinion that consumers unfortunately prevail over creators? Moreover, is it really bad to be nothing, but a narrow-minded person, wasting your life 'in vain', being unable to create anything supreme, and just living an ordinary life?

- We quite don't agree on that point - basically we are all creators AND consumers – contributing with our part to the society... Even if you work in a bank or at a parking lot. Of course there is a minority of unemployed and homeless people who only consume - again they 'create' a job for them who has to take care of them.  The consumers obviously have the last word - if you want to be a millionaire on making music - you can't play metal. Then you need to follow the majority of the consumers request for tasteless pop music....

Information is very important factor of contemporary life and modern society, however, rather often, we're being misinformed, we don't know the whole truth concerning the subject which is of interest of us! Actually, we don't even know why are we living and what is the meaning of our lives! It often happens that a certain individual realizes that he voluntarily followed illusions all his life,  hence then he faces his own spiritual decline! Do you agree with the afore-cited words?

Claus says: Big smile and live your life....
Anyway some people live their lives dictated by the norm set by the media – and they will never know the truth about it all... But why care, whatever you do, you can't make a difference... The truth is what you want it to be....

Did you soul ever endure the feeling of loneliness? Some say that their worst fear is to die alone, when there's no one near you to help or give certain moral support!

- Well everybody has at some point experienced loneliness... We think that those people who fear to die alone, also fear dying in general... but why worry? When you're gonna go or how – when it happens it's over... Instead of thinking about it and make your life sour, you should live your life and enjoy every day you have...

Perhaps, this one will be rather difficult to answer! What do you consider to be a meaning of your life? Formerly, once I thought if there's any reason for me to live, and before I found the answer I was really frightened! frightened to find out that my being is utterly useless!

- Basically our existence is pretty meaningless - we're born, we eat, we fuck, we die... But now that we're here, why not get the best of it? We don't know the purpose of our existence... is it to play in AURORA and contribute our music to the world?? What if we decide to stop – should our lives end there? No... Certainly not! But then the meaning of our lifes isn't to play in AURORA. What is it then? Perhaps it's all what we do, what we think and most of all: what we do to make the world what it is today?

Do you anything regarding Russia? Perhaps, you can name few bands coming from here which stroke your magination most of all?

- GORKY PARK :-) And that seems to be it...

Getting back to music! Are there any plans to find permanent rhythm guitarist or you're going to use only guest musicians further?

- Our former guitarist Allan Iversen, who also played in AURORA when we recorded “Eos”, had to leave the band shortly after the recording of “Sadiam” - therefore he's is mentioned in the 'small-text' on the cover. We have found our new guitarist in the beginning of this year. He's called Anders Vestergaard and is pretty cool, so he's going to be permanent....

Hmm, looks like we've come to the end! Any final messages?

Thanks, stay metal!!!
