Greetings. In my eyes (and ears), your music and lyrics are all about sick things that are pertinent to this depraved world, and in fact are sick. Your bandname is some kind of a sick biological term - a title to some sick disease. And everything is sick, sick, ...... and fucking sick. Can I have some explanation?

- Yeah, we're all sick sick sick. ha ha ha I have to agree with you
that the world is a pretty fucked up place.  Fucked up enough that I could base an entire entity (the band) around the subject.  The bandname though, on the other hand, basically describes my thoughts and the way I feel toward the world and its inhabitants.  I, and I think I can speak freely for the rest of the band, are more or less forced to face them with a cold heart so to speak- so there you have CARDIOVASCULAR SUB-HYPOTHERMIA.  To my knowledge, the term doesn't exist in any kind of medical reference book as an actual condition of the human body, it's just a string of words used to describe how I, or we rather, feel at times.

You mention whores and other pretty fucked up things in your thanx list do they give you any kind of inspiration or what?

- Well in a rather abstract way I guess they do.  When we mention whores we are not referring to the "Whore" that would be described in a dictionary or some other source of reference, rather to object mindless women (and men) in general.  So yes, whores in that sense inspire some degree of hatred and abhorrence.  I'm not saying that there aren't good women in the world though.

You have a song called "Innocent Whore" and, as it was said above, you thank whores for something I can't really understand; hence, could you tell me what is your view on them and prostitution as a whole?

- The song title "Innocent Whore" is a deliberate contradiction of terms pointing to people who act a certain way when you meet them and become "monsters" as their true colors appear.  In other words- wolves in sheeps' clothing.  But, like I said, prostitution itself really has no bearing on what we're getting at.  But if you want my real opinion on prostitution...let 'em do what they will, it's really not my problem.  But since you asked me, I think maybe it's a little degradating to the women practicing it and their standards for themselves.  I'm not going to judge them for their choice of profession (if that's what you want to call it, I mean how much intelligence does it take to fuck?) though.

The sound seems to be quite harsh, raw or, more likely, muddy (since it incorporates plenty of undesirable sounds).  Is it just a recording that is of bad quality or those sounds appear as something you planned to feature on "Pulmonary Descent" (in order to make it even more sick)???

- I really don't know what sounds you are referring to, but yeah, the recording could have been much better.  Funding for that demo was quite low and time was short.  Everything aside from the vocals were recorded in a matter of 6 or 7 hours.  The rest of the time was spent in the editing process.  It didn't come out as bad as it could have though.  If it's the samples you're talking about or some of the noise sequences, yeah, I guess they are meant to sound kinda sick.

What do you see the sense of your life in - the same goes for your musical career (I mean, what are you trying to show and achieve with your music.

- Man, there is no sense in my life.  It really makes no sense at all
to me right now.  My life is and always has been sort of a quest to find happiness, as are most peoples'.  But there is, as it stands, no proverbial light at the end of my tunnel.  As for the band, well that one I think you nailed with the first question.  We're basically trying to reflect how  fucked up shit is.  And might I add, that it has nothing to do with politics, anything governmental or any of the other bullshit a bunch of these other bands like to bitch about.... people in general are scumfucks. And until people realize that and try to change themselves first, the world will remain a shitty place to live in.

I believe, there's a constant war within society which is caused by a constant war within our minds. And to maintain piece on earth we need to achieve harmony within ourselves and that is the essential question in world politics.  What is your opinion on this topic?

- Sure I can agree with that point of view completely.  Politics aside though.  If harmony were achieved in our own persons, much more could be accomplished than just political accord.  Just think of how much better everyday life could be.  I don't forsee things changing though.  Not for some time at least.  To be quite honest, I don't like to hate, but the disharmony in soceity forces me to react in such a manner.  I guess you could say I'm somewhat antisocial for these reasons though I participate in social activities such as going to work every day and going to the grocery store etc.., since I like to eat and have a roof over my head.

Can you tell me a sick story that has ever happened with you? (a really sick story!!!!)

- Well, once when I was about 13 I saw a lady get into an automobile accident and she was crushed against the steering column.  There was blood and shit all over the place and she was screaming and yelling in pain while the rescue unit was trying to pry her free from the car.  Anyway, that wasn't the sick part...lying next to the car was her unborn baby in a pool of blood still attached to the umbilical cord which was in turn still attached to the woman herself.  She died not too long after.  Sick enough?  I've got a few more.  ha ha

What do you think of sick historical figures, such as Napoleon, Hitler, Lenin and  Stalin?  Name us the absolutely sickest historical figure that you know.

- Napoleon was a funny little gay man.  Hitler had some really good
ideas actually.  The whole racial extermination/euthanasia thing was kinda fucked though and he was also somewhat powermad in trying to conquer the whole of Europe, Russia and other various parts of the world.  Lenin had some good ideas as well, but was a little off in a lot of his convictions.  Stalin was to my knowledge a good militaristic leader but was also a paranoid genocidal maniac.  Before they became the leaders of their respective countries though, they were regular people just like the rest of us.  My point being, that there are plenty more fuckups walking around even now, that, if given the power any of the above listed people had, could possibly commit even more heinous acts.  Aside from those people though, I'd have to say that Josef Mengele (the Angel of Death) was the sickest fucker.

If you had a choice, what way would you prefer to die?

- Soon & falling out of an airplane.

Tell me anything you'd like concerning your gigs and their financial
aspect.  How much do you get paid and what are the expenses that you face?  How are your concerts being arranged?

- Well we haven't been playing out much at all lately since we've been mostly concentrating on new material for the new CD we're planning on putting out soon.  We've got a lot of friends and contacts in the scene especially around here and up around NYC so we basically help each other out with arranging shows.  In the near future though we will more than likely be playing out with bands like SCRAPE, INTERNAL BLEEDING, MORTICIAN, PESSIMIST, DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY, etc...  What?  Get payed for a gig?  Bands get payed
to play in Russia?  We're on our way man!!  ha ha ha  Nah, actually we're planning on incorporating some sort of management into the works shortly after the CD is released though.

What are your future plans concerning creating anything, touring anywhere, drinking anything, screwing anyone, getting high or getting S.F. - anything else you plan to do?

- Yes, please.  All of the above. ha ha No but really, we're always fucked up on something as it seems.  We each have our own vices I suppose.  Someone called me an alcoholic here recently, so I quit drinking for a while to prove them wrong.  Man that was a long day!! ha ha ha  I'd really like to tour somewhere like Russia or China where not too many American bands have ventured before.  That would be really cool.  I'd also like to do some shows in Germany, Sweden and the rest of Europe.  Australia and New Zealand would be really cool as well.  Guess we should start with our own country first though, right? ha ha  But really, as far as definate plans for touring, there are none at the moment.  We'll just have to wait until the CD is out.
