INTO DARKNESS, CENTINEX and NUNSLAUGHTER

live at The Frontline (Gent, Belgium)
on 19th of September 2000 a.t.b.b.

The deathmetal INTO DARKNESS (D) played with a very bad guitar, while the drum sound sucked either. Only the slow parts sounded enjoyably good. Brutal and explosive, you see. But the faster passages were big hell of a noise. Few people gathered at The Frontline that evening reacted in a quite lame way, while the singer tried to change such a crappy situation with stupid jokes and few cynical comments.
CENTINEX (SWE) (centinex@hotmail.com) surprisingly performed a very bad show. All the songs were played in a very uptempo way with
a singer who acted like a puppet on a string. It sounded as the band didn't really wanted to take part in that gig (why that?? A huge hangover, perhaps?), and purposely were attempting to sound as worse as possible. This was not the band I saw months ago.
NUNSLAUGHTER (US) came on stage, glanced at the crowd and won the show. Oldschool deathmetal without any compromises and shit like that. The sound was great and the band played with a lot of fun, as well as the certain effort put into each song they performed. The jokes between the singer and the drummer sounded as these were samples; very amusing, though. The crowd liked it alot and asked only for more, therefore NUNSLAUGHTER obviously gave a lot of extra gifts.
